Wycieczka do Londynu

For me London had always been the city of dreams. The symbol of fashion world and arts. Since I’ve been a child I wanted to see the Buckingham Palace and Big Ben. I knew that when I grow up I will get there one day. Time passed by. Another holiday was over, but London never made it on the top of the „to do” list. Maybe because it was to obvious and deep down inside I knew I will visit it one day. When we moved to Great Britain, there was no more excuses. To live in England and never visit its capital… what? Finally, we made it 🙂 Very spontaneously we took a Saturday road trip to one of the most important cities in the world. We took National Express bus, were we bought a 5 pound ticket one way! We saved money, because taking the train we would pay 7 times more.

Thanks to this, without any guilt we could take a cab in rush hour to avoid getting from Tower Bridge to Victoria Coach Station in pouring rain. This trip was so much fun. After weeks of rain, we had gorgeous spring weather, perfect for sightseeing. The main attraction of this day was MOSCOT store, where I planed to purchase my new eyeglasses rims. Mission accomplished 🙂 After shopping we began our all day walk and London sightseeing. We managed to see iconic monuments, parks, streets ad quiet alleys. We saw National Theater, Tate Modern in mean time we stopped for coffee with dessert in unique cafés and we had delicious Chinese food for diner. In the end of the day our feet were sore from walking and our mile distance was 21 kilometers. My first impression of London was that in feels a little bit like Paris. Maybe because of the color range and the Thames, that brought back memories of our first trip, that me and Maciek took to France, and walked along Seine. Color range of the city – gloomy but noble, the monumental style and its own vibe delighted me. I consider my first time to London checked and I think about visiting places that we hadn’t had the chance to see. It was wonderful!
